I hope you are all well! Recently, I completed videos on each style in the Cafe Collection by BelleTress! Below is a video on M&M by BelleTress. 
 
This style was designed in honor of a famous icon, Marilyn Monroe, and it is a perfect replica! M&M by BelleTress features a lace front and monofilament part, and is designed with heat friendly hair fiber that allows you to add additional curl or straighten if you prefer. 
The color I'm wearing in this BelleTress Wig is called Vanilla Lush. It is a blonde wig with no rooting at the top. It features a longer side bang with curl falling down and around the chin bone.

Once you've invested in a synthetic wig or topper, continued care for your purchase is your next priority. Below, I've listed synthetic wig care instructions for cleansing and styling along with videos to provide a visual. :) You can browse our entire wig collection here.

Wig Care - How Do I Care for my Synthetic Wig?

SYNTHETIC CARE & TIPS

We recommend washing your wig every 6-8 wears

 

CLEANSING & CONDITIONING YOUR WIG

  • Before washing your wig or topper, gently remove any tangles with your Jon Renau paddle brush or Jon Renau wide tooth comb

  • Hold wig or topper under cool running water. Then, gently lather the hair with a capful of Jon Renau Synthetic Wig Shampoo while making sure that the hair is traveling in the same direction. DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling

  • Rinse wig or topper thoroughly in cool water until the water runs clear

  • Wrap wig or hair piece in a towel and gently pat dry 

  • Gently detangle hair using your Jon Renau wide tooth comb

  • Spray wig or topper with Jon Renau Leave-In Conditioning Spray (3-5 pumps) keeping away from the base

DRYING & STYLING YOUR WIG

  • Allow your wig or topper to air dry naturally by placing it on a plastic or wire wig stand. DO NOT blow dry your synthetic wig

  • Styling is very easy with your Jon Renau wig. Simply use your fingertips or wig brush/comb for your desired style

  • If fullness is desired, gently backcomb hair using your wig brush or wide tooth comb, then smooth the surface hair over and apply Jon Renau Holding Spray

  • DO NOT use any heat tools, such as curling irons, flat irons or blow dryers, to style your synthetic fiber wig or topper

TIPS

  • Be cautious when standing near a heat source (i.e. open oven, heater, etc.) Excessive heat can damage the synthetic fiber of your wig or topper

  • We recommend using Jon Renau HD Smooth with your Jon Renau wide tooth comb to detangle your synthetic wig. This is especially important with the mid-length to long length wigs

HUMAN HAIR WIG CARE & TIPS

We recommend washing your wig every 6-8 wears

WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU COLOR OR PERM WIGS OR TOPPERS

 

CLEANSING & CONDITIONING YOUR WIG

  • Before washing your human hair wig, gently remove any tangles with your Jon Renau paddle brush or Jon Renau wide tooth comb

  • Hold wig or hair piece under cool running water

  • Gently lather the hair with a capful of Argan Smooth Luxury Shampoo while making sure that the hair is traveling in the same direction. DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling

  • Rinse wig thoroughly in cool water until the water runs clear

  • Apply Jon Renau Argan Smooth Luxury Conditioner to the wig or topper, avoiding the base cap of the wig (applying conditioner to the base of the cap may weaken the knots) or topper

  • With your fingers, work conditioner through the ends of the hair for about 3-5 minutes

  • Rinse thoroughly in cold water until the water runs clear

DRYING & STYLING YOUR WIG

  • Wrap your wig or topper in a towel and gently pat to remove excess water

DO NOT use any type of brush to detangle your human hair wig while it is wet. Instead, gently comb through your human hair wig using only your Jon Renau wide tooth comb

 Smooth & Sleek

Blend 2-3 pumps of Argan Treatment Mist with Blown Away. Using a round boar-bristle/nylon brush, work through hair in 2” sections starting at nape. Blow dry in downward motion to smooth and direct hair 

 

Volume

Apply 2-3 pumps of Weightless Volumizing Foam throughout hair. Using a round boar-bristle/nylon brush, work through hair in 2” vertical sections starting at the nape. Over-direct hair for optimal volume.

Volume & Texture

Liberally spray Boho Beach Mist throughout the damp hair. Apply 2-3 pumps of Weightless Volumizing Foam, allow hair to dry naturally or diffuse for added fullness. 

    TIPS

    • It is recommended to use professional grade heat styling tools with digital temperature settings to control heat

    • Your styling tools should be set no higher than 350° F to help maintain the integrity of the hair

    • Versatile 3-Way Hair Spray works great to help hold your finished style. Adjust the nozzle to “L” for low, “M” for medium hold, or “H” for high hold, depending on your needs

    • When curling your human hair wig, you can use small metal clips to hold each curl while cooling for a tighter, longer-lasting curl. For a looser, more natural looking curl, allow curls to hang while cooling

    • Boho Beach Mist can be used to on dry hair to add texture and revitalize natural curls

    This is me above, wearing easiPart this summer for my son's 6th birthday party!  :)  

    I pulled my hair back off my face into a pony! Most of the hair on my front was really short, so I had to pull the piece forward a bit, but I don't think anyone noticed! 

    I am so honored to be a part of this amazing community. I've known about the Trichotillomania Learning Center for a few years now, but only the past three years have I been a proud service provider, and I look forward to many more years with this amazing organization!

    I'm so proud to help those living with hair loss find all of the resources available to them.

    Children with Hair Loss

    Hello Friends!!

    With it being BFRB week, I felt it appropriate to provide information on this amazing resource.

    Children with Hair Loss is a nonprofit organization that provides high-quality human hair wigs at no cost to young people who are experiencing medically-related hair loss. 

     Children with Hair Loss

    Hair loss in children can be a result of a chemotherapy, radiation, burns, accidents, scarring, Alopecia, Trichotillomania and Hypomellanosis of Ito.

    The goal of Children with Hair Loss is to assist as many children experiencing hair loss as possible, by providing each child with a free human hair replacement system once per year. This allows a every child the opportunity to foster a healthy confidence early on, in spite of hair loss. Children with Hair Loss currently provides a customized human hair replacement piece and care kit to more than 300 children each year.

    As a company focused on offering products that improve people's lives, Wig Studio 1 is proud to partner with Jon Renau and Children with Hair Loss.     What is the Difference Between Remy Human Hair and Regular Human Hair?

    Hello and Happy Friday!!

    Many of you have asked me what the difference between remy human hair and non remy human hair is, so I wanted to address that very important question.

    To understand the difference between remy human hair and non remy human hair, it is important to understand composition of the hair strand.

    Each hair strand is made up of the medulla, cortex and cuticle. The cuticle is the outer most layer of the hair strand and is made up of hard, shingle-like cells that provide protection to the inner layer of the hair.

    Naturally-growing, biological hair grows with the cuticles running in the same direction from root to tip. When the sourced hair is cut, the bundle of hair must be kept with the cuticle running in the same direction to be considered remy human hair.

    Non remy human hair is hair bundles that are collected from multiple sources and cannot guarantee that the cuticle is running in the same direction.

    For this reason, the hair is treated to partially remove the cuticle. If this process is not done properly, matting and inversion will occur.

    The Trichotillomania Learning Foundation

    In honor of, and in celebration of their 25th Anniversary this year, The TLC Foundation is changing their name!  Moving forward, they will be known as The TLC Foundation for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors.

    Over the years, the mission to help others with Trichotillomania has broadened to create resources and build a community for everyone that is affected by what are now categorized as body-focused repetitive behaviors. These behaviors include nail biting, skin piking, cheek biting, as well as hair pulling.
