Hi and welcome back to the blog! Today we are going to take a look at TressAllure Brushed Pixie in the color 23R. This is a super short pixie with tons of layers that are just begging for styling cream to spike them up! The first thing I do when I take a new style out of the box is give it a spray of water (don't do this if you are thinking of returning it). Water will create texture and gives me an idea of what the fibers will look like when I use styling cream. If you don't have styling cream wig hairspray will work also, just spray in your palm and work it through the fibers to piece them out.
If you like bangs you might really enjoy this style, the fringe is 3.5, crown 3, nape 1 3/4 and weighs 2.5 oz making this a true "throw on and go" style. This would be a good first wig due to the ease of styling or an everyday wig. I like to have styles on hand that I can grab and go without worrying about styling it too much.
The cap is basic in construction, with no lace front, it does have permatease to give  it that needed lift at the top, I love permatease (I know many don't, its a personal preference). I personally don't mind basic caps, they are easy to wear and are normally offered at a great price point.
Brushed Pixie is open wefted making it cooler to wear than hand tied caps and of course much less expensive that hand tied.
The next set of photos show the color 23R. When I took this out of the box my first thought was, "this isn't really platinum", in my opinion this is more of a champagne blonde or creamy blonde. I also thought by the color number 23R that this would be a rooted shaded however it is not rooted.
This is color 23R in outdoor lighting; be sure to wear a light colored wig cap to reduce the chance of wefting showing; there are 15 shades to choose from.
If you have read any of my blogs or seen my videos you know that I love styling short wigs! I have many hair accessories and they work just as well on short styles as they do on my longer wigs.
I have to wear my glasses everyday so they need to work with all styles. I wear my glasses on top of my ear tabs, that is just what works for me, however I know many people wear their glasses through open ear tabs or under the ear tabs. My advice is when you get your new wig try it on with your glasses to determine what is the most comfortable way to wear them.
I hope you enjoyed this look at TressAllure Brushed Pixie, an easy to wear fun summer style!
