Designed to mimic the look and feel of natural hair, Tru2Life fiber is lightweight, soft, and heat-friendly—giving you the freedom to curl, straighten, or blow dry your style with tools up to 350°F (180°C).
Follow these expert tips to extend the life of your wig and maintain its beautiful finish.
Before You Begin

Gently detangle with a wide-tooth comb—never use a brush.

Always start from the ends and work toward the base to avoid fiber damage.

Be especially careful with lace front wigs, as the lace is delicate and can tear with excessive pulling.

Avoid sudden heat exposure (e.g., ovens) as it may melt synthetic fibers.

Do not sleep, shower, or swim while wearing a synthetic wig.
How to Wash Tru2Life Wigs
Pre-Wash / Detangling Your Wig or Topper

- Gently remove tangles with a wide-tooth comb.
Washing Your Wig or Topper
-
- Fill a basin with cool water and add 1 tbsp of HairUWear CLEANSE shampoo.
- Soak wig for 3–5 minutes. Do not agitate or scrub the fibers and do not soak for more than 5 minutes. Soaking longer than 5 minutes can damage the wig or hairpiece.
- Rinse thoroughly under cool water, allowing the water to run in the direction of the fibers. Gently press out water with a towel—do not wring.
Conditioning Your Wig or Topper

- Lightly mist the ends with HairUWear RESTORE and comb through using a wide tooth comb.
- Avoid spraying directly on hand-tied areas to prevent the hand tied knots from loosening.
Drying Your Wig or Topper

Place on a wig stand to air dry.

Hand-tied hairpieces should dry flat on a towel.

Do not use a solid mannequin head or canvas block head, as this may stretch the cap and disrupt air flow to dry the interior of the cap.

Styling Heat-Friendly Synthetic Hair

Once dry, shake and finger-style the wig for a natural look.

Use HairUWear PROTECT before applying heat.

Set heat tools to low–medium (max 350°F/180°C).

To curl: wrap a 1" section around a curling iron, hold 10 seconds, clip to set while cooling.

To straighten: run a flat iron down a 1" section and let cool.

"This is a beautiful wig. I need to re-work it a bit but this is the 2nd one I bough (so despite the work, I love this unit). The heat-friendly fibers are soft and easy to style. I love the shade (very similar to RW's Iced Java). The only qualm I have is oh, how I wish wish wish this had a full mono top (vs the mono part it does have) so that I could part it in any direction, otherwise, this has a great lace front and the knots are OK (I just do a lil extra work to hide them)."

"Luv this wig. You have to be careful with the lace front ofc and I do have to customize this unit but it's a great unit. This is my 3rd one! The 1st one is starting to look old (I think it would have lasted longer but this was one of my 1st purchases in my hair loss journey). For that 1st ""OTR"" I actually added waves since it's heat friendly and it looks great. So when I was ready to replace that one I bought 2, one to wear straight and 1 to wear with waves. They look great in both styles. Re: customization, I had to rework the part a bit. Most parts are on (my) left going right but there is a bit of leeway on this unit so I ""altered"" it to go (my) right-ish going left-ish. The cap is comfy tho I Can overheat but this is individual. There is a bit too much hair but I pluck mine carefully and it looks great. Fibers are soft but like all mid-length to longer heat-friendly fibers, the ends/hair can get matted/""dried"" out/tangled—this is ""natural"" and you can easily get it soft again with heat. Anyway, I love this unit and I have dark hair and got the Iced Java (for a nice highlight) and it looks great. I can also wear Off-Black but I don't think that shade was available at the time I ordered."

"Gabor's ""Own the Room"" is turning out to be one of my all-time favorite wigs, so I purchased few more. The fibers are soft and realistic -- not too shiny. She looks gorgeous straight out of the box -- just the right amount of volume. And the colors I purchased this time -- GF44/60SS Shaded Sugared Licorice and GF56/1001 Arctic White (depending on my mood) are both stunning!
