Synthetic Hair Care
We Recommend Washing Your Alternative Hair Every 6-8 Wears
CLEANSE & CONDITION
- Before washing your wig or hairpiece, gently remove any tangles using your Wide Tooth Comb
- Wet hair completely using cool running water, allowing the water to flow in the direction of the fibers
- Do not submerge or soak your wig or topper
- Gently lather the hair with a small amount of shampoo specifically formulated for synthetic hair, making sure the hair is traveling in the same direction
- DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling
- Rinse thoroughly under cool running water until water runs clear
- Wrap wig or hairpiece in a towel and gently pat dry
- Spray fibers with a conditioning spray (3-5 pumps) keeping away from base of wig or hairpiece
- Please follow instructions for use depending on products used
- Gently detangle hair using your Wide Tooth Comb
DRY & STYLE
- Allow wig or hairpiece to air dry naturally by placing on a plastic or wire wig stand
- DO NOT blow dry synthetic hair
- For mid-length to long length styles, apply a detangling spray, (3-5 pumps) focusing on bottom half of wig or hairpiece.
- Gently comb through using your Wide Tooth Comb
- We recommend using your fingertips or wig comb for your desired style
- Consider additional products to add texture and definition, using a small amount and applying using your fingertips
- Do NOT use heat to style synthetic fiber (curling irons, flat irons or blow dryers)
TIPS
- Be cautious when standing near a heat source (i.e., open oven, heater, etc.)
- Excessive heat can damage the fiber
- We recommend using a detangling spray with a wide tooth comb to detangle your piece after each wear

"This wig is my daily go to. No one, not even my husband knows that I wear wigs. I’m very shy like that and I’m very insecure. So I give all of you so much credit for showing the world what’s under your wig. It’s amazing what hair will do for a person‘s face. I was a nurse for many many years and my hair got screwed up because I had to wear it up all the time but previous to that I also had fine frizzy and unmanageable hair. This piece is very easy to put on. I wear it behind my bangs and pull them to the side I put a headband in with a bowl or any other kind. I have had so many compliments. What did I do to my hair? What did she do to your hair? Did she put layers in it? I just go along with the flow. Thank you so much for making this hairpiece. It matches my hair perfectly and my beautician cut the back of my hair so it is the same length. I believe this will be for the rest of my life so I don’t see myself wearing anything different. I have tried Jessica and a few others. I still have Brooklyn at home here and beachy waves is nice, but this is my favorite. my face is oval and I have a very small head so adding hair to it really helps when I put the headband on. I take both sides and pull it up. I put the layers over that headband. It looks so so cute I take both sides and put a clip in one side of my hair or both I have found clips that are pretty and there is so much to choose from. Because of this hairpiece, it is much faster getting ready in the daytime. I still haven’t learned to wash them. I’m afraid actually. So anytime there’s a sale on the weekend. I grab it if you could notify me if there’s even a better sale, I would appreciate it either through my email or text would be better thank you everybody that works for wig studio. com"

"My prior experience with Mellow was great. However, the latest Mellows that I got, were not as full or you could see the perma-tease on the crown. I used to get compliments on Mellow all the time. Not so anymore. Estetica step up your game!"

"I love the look of this wig, such a fun style! RH26/613RT8 is described as golden brown with pale blonde highlights & golden brown roots. Right out of the box the color looked pale blonde with very dark roots. Wig Studio is wonderful to work with but there was not another color that would work for me. It was an easy fix with root color spray in med blonde with a little light brown. It toned down the blonde & blended better with the root. I usually have to thin my wigs & make some cap adjustments. Mellow is low density, so no thinning. I sewed a comb at the nape like I usually do. Perfect!"

"This is color SilversunRT8. It is a beautiful color with brown roots. It is a liter density with super soft fibers! Feels like real hair. I was looking for a medium length, casual wavy wig for summer. I love this wig, would highly recommend. The only other thing I will mention is that the cap runs large. I’m a petite size, I must wear a wig grip and I used adhesive in the nape and at the ear tabs to hold in place."

Beautiful style that is not working out for me
"I absolutely love how Mellow looks on me. It's effortless, natural, and I get a lot of compliments. However (I think I'm the only one with this issue) I am having issues with hair getting frizzy and tangly in the nape area, mainly underside the wig in the back. I try to follow all instructions to brush after wear, I even bought Envy Renu & Repair product, and I'm getting same frizzy hair as I got with my first Mellow, which is a shame as it's such a pretty wig. I'll need to look for a different style that is shorter in the back, to perhaps avoid the frizziness issue."
