If you're new to wigs or hair toppers, the process can feel a bit overwhelming—but you’re not alone.

Finding the perfect wig starts with choosing the correct wig size. While most average-size wigs for women fit about 95% of customers, many styles also come in petite and large sizes for a more precise fit.

Most wigs also feature adjustable straps, which can expand up to ½ inch, offering a more personalized and comfortable fit.

Hi, I’m Andrea! As someone who experiences hair loss and wears wigs daily, I understand the challenges and questions that can come up. Grab a measuring tape and something to write with, and let's go through the steps of gathering your wig measurements!

Step 1:

To measure your head for a wig, start at the front hairline, wrap the measuring tape around the nape of your neck, and bring it back to the starting point at your hairline to get your head circumference.

Step 2:

To measure ear-to-ear for a wig, first identify the top of your head, located about 7 inches back from your front hairline. From this point, stretch the measuring tape across the top of your head and measure to the hairline in front of each ear.

Step 3:

To measure front-to-nape for a wig, start at the top of your front hairline and run the measuring tape straight down the center of your head to the nape of your neck.
