CrazyWigLady's Blog of Ellen Wille Area in Sandy Blonde Toned

CrazyWigLady's Blog of Ellen Wille Area in Sandy Blonde Toned

I'm continuing my quest to review and try as many bob styles as I can, Ellen Wille hit the mark with this new style from their Elements Collection, this Area shown in Sandy Blonde Toned. Bobs have been around forever and they never go out of style, I can't think of a time or occasion when a bob would not work, it truly is a classic style that flatters many different face shapes. If you haven't tried the new Ellen Wille Elements collection you might want to take a look at them; they are beautiful and offered at nice price points as well. I was afraid to try longer styles as I thought "I'm too old" to wear them, but I was wrong, I love them and encourage you to try a longer style, they are fun and can be so versatile.
The cap is basic in construction with open wefting, no lace front, closed ear tabs and has a tiny mono disc in the crown for the look of hair growing out of the scalp. I don't think a lace front is needed due to the fact this one has a long sweeping bang, no lace front makes for a better price point too!
The front of Area is 7.5, Crown 10, Sides 6.5 and a 5" nape, it weighs 2.9 oz. Be sure to use some detangling spray when you take it off to keep the fibers looking good for as long as you can. Also, if you find the front falls into your face you can easily steam the front, there is a video on my YouTube channel showing how to steam a wig with step by step instructions.
Above are phots of Sandy Blonde Toned in indoor/outdoor lighting. This shade has some medium ash blonde and golden blonde highlights with a medium root. The highlighting is beautifully done especially around the face.
As I mentioned above I think these longer styles offer so much versatility, you can style them in different ways to create totally different looks. Just throw on a headband, add a sparkly clip and it will look amazing! You could also do a half up and half down look with this one too!
If you have been wanting to try a longer bob at a great price point consider Area! See all the longer bobs at Wigstudio1.com, thanks for stopping by my blog, I'll see ya next time and remember "We're all in this together"!

CrazyWigLady's Blog of Ellen Wille Dot in Silver Grey Mix

CrazyWigLady's Blog of Ellen Wille Dot in Silver Grey Mix

Short, sassy and fun were the words that came to mind the first time I wore Ellen Wille Dot! This is a true out of the box style, all that you need to do is give it a good shake and put it on! Of course I think it looks best spiked up with some styling cream but could easily be worn smooth and sleek as well.
Dot is part of the new Elements Collection, these pieces are offered at a nice price point so if you have wanted to try an Ellen Wille wig now might be the time.
The style of Dot is a very layered pixie/boy cut, perfect for summer; I think the layering is done very well, try spraying it with some water to create texture!
Dot has a basic cap construction, no lace front (you don't need it) and a tiny square of monofilament at the crown, this makes it look like hair is growing right out of your scalp! The front is 2.5, Crown 2.5, sides 1.5 and a nice short nape of 1.5 (the nape fits snug against the neck).
The ear tabs are felt with stays and the cap is open wefted with velcro adjusters, you can get about 1/2 to 1 inch of adjustability.
The color Silver Grey Mix is a beautiful blended shade of 56/60. In my opinion there is not much brown in this wig (maybe a bit) but the majority of this color is pure white blended with a 56 giving it dimension. I love grey hair and have a whole series of grey reviews on my channel titled "Going Grey"! I don't wear grey hair everyday because I never like wearing the same color two days in a row (isn't that what is so fun about wigs, changing our look) but I do enjoy wearing grey. I especially like to pair grey shades with the color blue and pink, it makes your eyes pop!
Above are some photos of Silver Grey Mix in outdoor/indoor lighting, you can see the way the fibers have been blended, the color is not flat at all.
I also love that women of all ages are wearing silver/grey, it is "having a moment" in fashion. I see girls in their twenties wearing silver hair, grey hair is not just for women of a certain age anymore, everyone is wearing it with attitude and looking amazing! I put on some great earrings and a smile and head out the door with this fantastic looking grey hair! I do feel like I have to wear a bit more makeup than I normally do when I wear my grey pieces, I like to amp up my eyeshadow and blush with my grey styles.
Also, have fun styling short hair! Just because you have a short style does not mean you can't wear it in different ways, throw on a headband or fun clip and change the look entirely.
See the new Elements Collection at Wigstudio1.com. I'll see ya next time and remember "We're all in this together"!

CrazyWigLady's review of Amore Shay in Spring Honey R

CrazyWigLady's review of Amore Shay in Spring Honey R

It is summer! For me summer means fun in the sun and hot Southern temperatures, Shay by Amore is a pixie cut that has a longer front fringe and short nape making it a great summer pick.
The style of Shay is a classic bob with a front fringe of 5.5, sides 6.25 and a short 2.5 inch nape, it only weighs 2.2 oz.
When I first tried on Shay the hair tended to fall into my face, I sprayed some water on it to bring it back from my face. This wig could easily be steamed to make it stay back or use some wig hairspray to achieve this as well. You can also wear it with the longer bang swept to the side, either way it works! Also, a bit of styling cream would create some fun texture!
The color Spring Honey R is a rooted shade of honey blonde with gold/platinum highlights. The highlights really make this color pop and give it nice dimension. If you are looking for a warmer blonde this might be a good color to consider; Shay is available in nine shades.
Shay has a lace front, mono top and a soft net cap covering the wefting in the back of the wig. The netting is super soft so if you have total hair loss this will be extremely soft and comfortable on the scalp. The ear tabs are closed, it has a felt non-extended nape and velcro adjusters. Look how big the mono top is, you can part the hair anywhere within that area, and of course the lace front makes it possible to wear Shay off your face.
If you have watched my YouTube videos you know I love styling wigs, especially short wigs! I enjoy finding new and fun ways to make my short styles look different, more modern, youthful and fun! Shay offers lots of styles opportunities, see the photos below.
It's as simple as adding a headband, a fun clip or scarf, there are no rules, just have fun with it! I hope you have a wonderful summer and I know you will have great hair!

CrazyWigLady's Blog Mane Attraction Romance in Honey

CrazyWigLady's Blog Mane Attraction Romance in Honey

Have you wanted to try something a bit longer, maybe Mane Attraction Romance would be a nice place to start! I have always wanted to wear longer styles but thought I was “too old” to pull them off, much to my surprise I can wear them and love them! I decided to stop thinking about age and start thinking about what I want to wear and what I’m comfortable wearing.

I have found some longer styles that I think work for a variety of face shapes, ages, etc. Romance from Mane Attraction is one of those styles, if you haven’t tried this brand yet give it a try, the fibers are beautiful and the caps are extremely well made and comfortable. I have the color Honey (this style is available in 15 shades), let me show you this lovely wig.

The style of Romance is a mid-length cut with long face framing layers, I did not need to steam it to keep the front from falling into my face, this is right out of the box.

The color honey is a dark blonde with strands of lighter honey blonde running throughout creating a soft beautifully blended highlighted shade.

The cap consists of a lace front, mono top, open ear tabs, open wefted with an open extended nape and velcro adjusters.

The nape is 6 ¼ “, be sure to use a detangling spray after wearing just to keep the fibers looking their best for as long as you can. Also, always use a wide tooth comb on all your wigs, especially these longer styles.

This style has enough length you can wear it in several different ways, pulled back in a clip, a low ponytail, a headband and of course pulled off the face to show off that gorgeous lace front.

I'm so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried some longer styles; I have even gotten some really long ones to use for updo's, don't be afraid to try something new! See all the styles by Mane Attraction at Wigstudio1.com.

CrazyWigLady's Blog of Gabor Chic Shot in Silvery Moon GL60-101

CrazyWigLady's Blog of Gabor Chic Shot in Silvery Moon GL60-101

I have to admit I am really enjoying wearing grey shades, I never dreamed I’d embrace grey hair but here I am, wearing grey and having fun doing it! Right now, grey is “having a moment” in fashion and people of all ages are wearing grey/silver hair! I always get excited when I have an opportunity to review a silver color and this one did not disappoint.

This color Silvery Moon, GL60-101 is a creamy white shade with a bit of varying grey shades running throughout, it is perfect for anyone who enjoys more of an all over white color. Chic shot is available in around 31 shades so there is something for everyone!

I find the fibers on Gabor wigs to be extremely soft and natural feeling, they tend to wear well even after repeated washings. Chic Shot has a short nape of 1.75" so it won't rub on most collars extending the life of the fibers.

The style of Chic Shot is a traditional bob with bangs that can be worn swept to the side or easily trimmed if you prefer; it also has face framing layers so it looks great on most face shapes. I really like the way Gabor shaped the back of Chic Shot, it has a bit of a stacked look giving it an updated feel.

I enjoy wearing bob styles, they seem to go with almost any outfit whether I’m going to work or out for a casual day. Throw on a headband or pin it back with a clip and you are out the door!

The cap construction consists of a temple to temple lace front, mono top, open wefting, closed ear tabs, non-extended felt nape with Velcro adjusters; also Chic Shot is very lightweight at only 3 oz.

I like the proportion of this wig, the front is 5, crown 8, sides 5.75, back 6.75 and a nape of 1.75 making this a nice traditional bob.  If you enjoy these fun bob styles have a look at Gabor Chic Shot and if you want to try a beautiful grey shade Silvery Moon might be what you have been looking for. See this style and all the other beautiful wigs from Gabor at wigstudio1.com.

Crazywiglady review of Jon Renau Eve in 101F48T "Martini"

Crazywiglady review of Jon Renau Eve in 101F48T "Martini"

I have been eyeing the color "Martini" for some time now, 101F48T, it is described by Jon Renau as soft white front, light brown with 75% grey blend with soft white tips. This is such a beautiful blended grey/blonde shade, if you are thinking of going grey this might be a great place to start. I think it has enough honey tones to make it a very interesting color! Eve is available in 37 shades, so there is something for everyone.
The cap construction on Eve consists of a temple to temple contoured lace front, full single mono top (allows for parting options), open cap, velcro adjusters, closed ear tabs and extended felt nape.
The specs for Eve are bang 6.5, crown 7, sides 5.5 - 7.25, nape 2 and it only weighs 3 oz.
The style of Eve is an asymmetrical stacked bob with lots of layers; Eve is heat friendly (don't use styling tools over 350 degrees), also be sure to only use a wide tooth comb on these HD fibers. I love the fit of this wig, the long front bang is a very flattering length.
The cut of Eve works for so many different face shapes, the lace front is beautiful and the fit is very comfortable; Eve is becoming a favorite and one that I know I will wear and enjoy for a long time.

Crazywiglady's Review of Jon Renau Diane in Color 60

Crazywiglady's Review of Jon Renau Diane in Color 60

Jon Renau
Diane
Color 60
I will be honest, I was hesitant to review this color as I have never worn this shade of grey before, but after trying it on I knew that this was a color so many ladies would probably really enjoy! As you know all shades of silver and grey are super popular this year, as a matter of fact (I have an inside contact at L'Oreal) they have partnered with Vogue to announce the 2019 hair color of the year is Silver, so ladies we are right on trend!
Diane by Jon Renau is a beautiful sassy shag style that is perfect right out of the box, it can be worn spiky or smooth, it has enough length to be versatile. The bangs can be worn down or back to show the beautiful Jon Renau lace front.
The cap construction on Diane consists of a lovely 100% hand tied temple to temple lace front, a large hand tied mono top and a beautiful 100% hand tied cap that is so soft, perfect for ladies with little to no hair. The cap also has closed ear tabs non extended nape with adjusters. I love Jon Renau hand tied caps, they are so comfortable and luxurious.
The photo above shows color 60 in indoor lighting. The color 60 is described a pure white, however there are some ashy/grey tones running through this color that keep it from appearing "flat"; it is of the lightest pearl color, the lightest grey available.
The photo above shows color 60 in outdoor lighting giving you an idea of how beautiful this color looks in the sun! The specs for Diane are bang 5.6, crown 7.25, sides 5 and nape 3.75.
Diane has such a beautiful lace front, by pulling it back with a bit of styling cream you can create a very trendy updated look and show off that lace front!
Or if you prefer you can wear the bangs down for a more casual look, either way, on or off the face Diane offers several different styling options. Be sure to check out the video below for a full look at Diane and follow me on my YouTube channel, Crazywiglady, for many more wig reviews. Crazywiglady's Review of Sophia by Jon Renau in 12FS8

Crazywiglady's Review of Sophia by Jon Renau in 12FS8

If you are familiar with human hair wigs then you are already aware of how fantastic they are; I am fairly new to human hair and I'm blown away by them! From the moment I put Sophia on my head I was hooked, the hair is like silk, it just fell so beautifully from the first moment. After I received Sophia I washed her and put some curl into her with a large curling iron, this was an easy process, much easier than when I attempted it with my bio hair, this hair actually holds a curl! Sophia is a medium length shag with lots of layers and long side sweeping bangs (these could be trimmed) but I'm going to leave mine long as I like that sweeping look.
I have had so much fun styling Sophia as the pictures above show; I added a fancy hair clip, added some curls and also straighten her with a curling iron. Sophia's length lends itself to many styling options, another thing I love about this wig.
The cap construction is of course luxurious as you would expect a human hair wig to be; she has a temple to temple 100% hand tied lace front, 100% hand tied cap, closed ear tabs with stays and an extended nape with velcro adjusters. Sophia also has a 100% hand tied mono top allowing for parting options. The specs for Sophia are front 5.5, crown 7.5, sides 5.5 and a nape 5.5.
The color of my Sophia is 12FS8, shaded praline, a very popular Jon Renau color. The photo above shows 12FS8 on the left in a synthetic style and the Sophia on the right (human hair). As you can see the synthetic is a deeper golden shade than the human hair version of the same color. Shaded Praline is described as a #8 root, which is a medium golden brown, a base of #12 a light golden brown and it also has beautiful golden blonde highlights.
I have had so much fun styling Sophia, I love the versatility of human hair and the ability to change the style anytime I want to; wear her curly or straight she will look great anyway you choose to wear it! Please email me with any comments or questions you might have to eileen@wigstudio1.com, also I post a Wig To Toe Wednesday each week on instagram @crazywiglady where I have a short wig video and my outfit of the day! Crazywiglady's Review of BelleTress Cortado Cut in Mocha With Cream

Crazywiglady's Review of BelleTress Cortado Cut in Mocha With Cream

Need a short spiky pixie cut, if so Cortado Cut might be just the ticket! To be honest when I opened the box of this cute BelleTress style I was a bit concerned, Cortado Cut is super spiky and edgy; I wasn't sure I could pull it off but I was willing to give it a try because it is just so cute and I'm so glad I did! Cortado Cut is a true "out of the box" style, all you have to do is give it a good shake and go.
The cap construction of Cortado Cut consists of a 100% hand tied lace front and a 100% hand tied mono center part. There is a good amount of permatease in this wig, it is needed to give it that cool spiky look!
Cortado Cut is open wefted with closed ear tabs and adjusters (this allows for about 1/2 inch adjustment).
The specs for Cortado Cut are, bang 3, sides 6, nape 2.5; I love the short nape, it can easily be worn with collared shirts. Cortado Cut is made of heat friendly fibers, feel free to use your curling or flat iron (be sure to not go over 350 degrees). If this style is too spiky you it can be tamed by using a bit of styling cream and smooth it down a bit, I love the spiky edgy look of this one!
The color I reviewed is Mocha With Cream; Cortado Cut is part of the BelleTress Cafe Collection (named after the coffee culture). Mocha With Cream is described as light ash brown with hints of caramel brown with medium honey blonde highlights and dark brown rooting. The rooting on this cut give this color dimension, I love the dark roots and the dark nape.
The back of Cortado Cut is beautifully shaped, you can wear the sides forward or being the ears giving it a totally different look. The lace front gives you the option to wear it off the face or piece out the bangs and wear them forward.
In my opinion just because a wig is short it can still be styled to give it a different feel from day to day. The photos above show a few of the different ways I styled Cortado Cut; just by adding a headband or clip you can really change up the look.
However you decided to wear this cute style, smooth or spiky, you can't go wrong with Cortado Cut by BelleTress!

Crazywiglady's Review of Carley by Envy in Almond Breeze

Crazywiglady's Review of Carley by Envy in Almond Breeze

Hi again, before we get started I want to give you my contact information in case you have any comments or questions; you can reach me by email at eileen@wigstudio1.com, instagram @crazywiglady and I'm on YouTube at Crazywiglady!

Bobs with bangs, everyone is asking for them and Envy has delivered another cute one with Carley; a classic bob that is slightly angled for a very updated look. Carley has tons of swing and style and the best part is she has a full 4 inch bang (I did trim the bang a bit before these pictures were taken).

Carley's cap construction consists of open wefting, open ear tabs with stays, non extended nape, a 100% hand tied mono top that allows for parting options. Carley has lots of stretch on each side that will allow it to work for larger sizes. The specs for Carley are, front 4, crown 11, sides 6.5, nape 4 and weighs 3.39 oz.

The photo above shows the beautiful color Almond Breeze in outdoor lighting. The manufacturer describes Almond Breeze as light mocha brown blended equally with a soft ash blonde and ash blonde highlights.

The photos above show some color caparisons to Almond Breeze, which is shown on the left in each photo. I compared it to Estetica Designs RH1488RT8, Ellen Wille Caramel Rooted and Envy's Toasted Sesame.

Carley has enough length to allow for some fun styling, I liked pulling it back into a low pony tail as well as adding a side braid and a jeweled comb. These types of styles are so versatile and look good on many face shapes. Carley is super sleek with no permatease and face framing layers. In my opinion there is a bit of a shine to these fibers, I easily took care of that with a spray of dry shampoo.

I love the professional feel that Carley provides, you can wear her to the office or add an accessory and wear it out to dinner or a special occasion; I personally love these types of styles that easily transition from day to evening. Envy provided us the perfect bob with bangs with Carley!

Crazywiglady's Review of Emma by Estetica Designs in RH1488RT8

Crazywiglady's Review of Emma by Estetica Designs in RH1488RT8

Let's connect!
email: eileen@wigstudio1.com
Instagram: @crazywiglady
For the last few months I've been on the hunt for the perfect bob wig; well, I'm not sure I will ever find a "favorite" because honestly I love so many different ones for different reasons! I think Emma by Estetica Designs is so cute because of her wispy side swept bangs (of course you could have them trimmed). There are so many styles of bobs out there, short, mid length, long, lobs, classic, angles, etc. I find that I like them all; bobs will never go out of style, just the angles and cuts of them change but the general shape is timeless! What I find myself looking for in a bob is lots of good movement and Emma delivers that easily. Emma also features a stacked back making it a bit more trendy that some of the other bobs I have reviewed, it is slightly angled, another feature that brings it a tad more "up to date"; the long flattering layers give it a beautiful shape.
Above are a few color comparisons I did for RH1488RT8, my all time favorite Estetica Designs color. Emma has a medium golden brown root (RT8) and a blend of light amber gold highlights and dark honey blonde. I really like the root on this color, it is not too stark and not too long making it totally believable. The top left photo is RH1488RT8 (on the left in each photo) compared to Gabor Toasted Pecan, the bottom left is Ellen Wille Ginger Rooted and the top right is Envy Almond Breeze. RH1488RT8, in my opinion, is a very "wearable" color, it is highlighted beautifully and soft and a bit warmer than some of the other blondes.
As with all Estetica Designs wigs the cap is extremely well made; it consists of a 100% hand tied mono top (it is a large mono top) which allows for parting options. There is no lace front but I don't think it is needed in this style due to the full bangs, the back of the wig is made with Estetica's Pure Stretch technology giving it a  perfect fit; there is a good bit of stretch in this wig making it great for ladies with a larger head circumference. Estetica has also put a strip of polyurethane along the front in case you would like to add some tape or adhesive. The specs for Emma are, bang 4, crown 10, sides 7, nape 3.5 and it weighs 3.2 oz.
As Emma is a mid length bob it allows you several different styling options. I always love to use a clip bring it off my face; Emma doesn't have a lace front but can still be worn off the face as shown above. I love wigs that can be styled in lots of different ways as you can create a different look easily for daily wear.
The photo above shows the cute stacked back of Emma as well as the lovely rooting, such a timeless cute style! Please check out my Youtube channel for reviews of this adorable style and all my other reviews!
