Keeping your wig clean helps maintain its beauty, softness, and longevity. Follow these simple steps using Estetica's Cleanse & Clarify Wig Shampoo and Nourish & Renew Wig Conditioner.

What You'll Need

Step 1: Prepare a Clean Basin

Fill a clean basin or sink with cool water. Always make sure the basin is free of any residue, cleaning products, or oils that could transfer to your wig.

Step 2: Add Shampoo

Add approximately 1 tablespoon of Cleanse & Clarify Wig Shampoo to the water and gently mix until dispersed.

Step 3: Soak the Wig

Place your wig into the shampoo water and allow it to soak for several minutes. This helps loosen dirt, oils, and product buildup.

Step 4: Clean the Lace Front and Cap

Using your fingertips, gently scrub the lace front and cap area to remove makeup, oils, and perspiration. Avoid rubbing the hair fibers aggressively.

Step 5: Rinse Thoroughly

Rinse the wig under cool running water until all shampoo has been completely removed.

Step 6: Condition the Wig

Refill the basin with clean cool water and add 1 tablespoon of Nourish & Renew Wig Conditioner. Place the wig into the conditioner bath and allow it to soak for approximately 5 minutes.

Step 7: Final Rinse

Rinse thoroughly with cool water until all conditioner has been removed. Once rinsed, gently squeeze out excess water. Do not twist or wring the wig.

Step 8: Towel Dry

Place the wig on a clean, dry towel and gently pat dry to remove additional moisture.

Step 9: Air Dry Overnight

Place the wig on a collapsible wig stand and allow it to air dry overnight. This helps preserve the style while allowing proper airflow through the cap.

Step 10: Style and Wear

Your wig is now clean and ready to wear! If your wig is heat-friendly, you can style it to your personal preference once it is completely dry.

Pro Tip

Regular washing helps extend the life of your wig and keeps it looking fresh. Most wig wearers find that washing every 6–8 wears works well, though frequency may vary depending on climate, activity level, and product usage.

Quick Reminder

Always use cool water and wig-specific care products to protect the fibers and maintain the integrity of your wig's cap construction.
