Each Ellen Wille color name pairs a base shade with how it is applied. Mix is an even blend of several tones throughout. Rooted and Shaded colors have a darker root for a natural grow-out look. Lighted colors have highlights throughout, concentrated around the face. Tipped colors have lighter ends, similar to an ombre. Toned is a softly blended version, and Frosted has a soft matte finish.
