Jon Renau Synthetic Hair Care

WE RECOMMEND WASHING YOUR ALTERNATIVE HAIR EVERY 8-10 WEARS

CLEANSE & CONDITION

  • Before washing your wig or hairpiece, gently remove any tangles using your Wide Tooth Comb
  • Wet hair completely using cool running water
  • Gently lather the hair with a small amount of Jon Renau Fiber Love Wig Shampoo, making sure that the hair is traveling in the same direction. Do not rub hair as this may cause tangling
  • Rinse thoroughly under cool running water until water runs clear
  • Wrap wig or hairpiece in a towel and gently pat dry
  • Spray with Jon Renau Fiber Love Conditioning Spray (3-5 pumps) keeping away from base of wig or hairpiece. Do not rinse out conditioner
  • Gently detangle hair using your Wide Tooth Comb

DRY & STYLE

  • Allow wig or hairpiece to air dry naturally by placing on a plastic or wire wig stand. DO NOT blow dry
  • For mid-length to long length styles, apply HD Smooth Detangling Spray, (3-5 pumps) focusing on bottom half of wig or hairpiece. Gently comb through using your Wide Tooth Comb
  • We recommend using your fingertips or wig brush/comb for your desired style
  • Do NOT use heat to style traditional synthetic fiber (curling irons, flat irons or blow dryers). The only wigs or toppers that can be styled with heat must be designed with specific heat friendly synthetic fibers or with human hair.

TIPS

  • Be cautious when standing near a heat source (i.e. open oven, heater, etc.) Excessive heat can damage the fiber
  • We recommend using HD Smooth Detangling Spray with a wide tooth comb to detangle your synthetic wig. This is especially important with a mid-length to long length wig or hairpiece

"I got this wig when I was new to the wig wearing world. It's a beautiful piece, definitely a keeper. My only frustration with this piece is it falls in my face because of hand tied mono filament top. It does have quite a lot of hair. I don't think too much though I see everyone's opinion is different but I don't think it has too much perma-tease as other reviews stated. It can get a little messy at times when you try to give it some style and body. I try not to play around with it too much. Now that I've had it about a year and worn it probably 10 times I find that the ends are quite brittle and get itchy around my neck. I think it's a little pricey for that to be happening after just a handful of wears for this price point. Overall it’s worth it maybe not for every day I don't think it would hold up for that which is unfortunate. I own cheaper wigs that have held up longer but in the end the hand-tied top makes it worth it when you want to look like your natural hair."

"Wow! Heidi is so beautiful! Just trying it on was an instant confidence booster. This is supermodel hair. I could never style my hair like this, even in my 20s. There is quite a bit of permatease, but that helps with supporting the volume and style. It hasn’t made the wig hot or uncomfortable to wear. The mono top also helps with taking down the density and volume on top. If you want sexy supermodel hair, give Heidi a try. If you want a similar style without the permatease, I would suggest trying Rachel."

"This piece is ok, not bad but not great. The cap is beautiful with a mono top and lace front. There’s a lot of realism with these features. The color I selected autumn, is a stunning ombré color. This wig is very shiny, they cap is constructed in such a way that it almost gives the appearance of a square cap, for some faces this isn’t the most flattering. There’s a heavy amount of permatease and a ton of hair to this piece, all n all it’s not for all face shapes"
