Care Instructions

We recommend washing your wig every 8-10 wears.

 CLEANSING & CONDITIONING YOUR WIG

  • Before washing your wig or topper, gently remove any tangles with your wide tooth comb.

  • Hold wig or topper under cool running water, allowing the water to run in the direction of the fibers. You may also fill a basin of luke-warm water for washing. Then, gently lather the hair with a capful of Rene of Paris Shampoo or another shampoo specifically designed for synthetic hair, while making sure that the hair is traveling in the same direction. Do not rub hair as this may cause tangling.

  • Add Rene of Paris Conditioner or another conditioner that is specifically formulated for synthetic hair to the ends of the fibers. Keep the conditioner away from the base of the wig or topper.
  • Rinse wig or topper thoroughly in cool water until the water runs clear.

  • Wrap wig or hair piece in a towel and gently pat dry.

DRYING & STYLING YOUR WIG

  • Allow your wig or topper to air dry naturally by placing it on a plastic or wire wig stand. Do not blow dry your synthetic wig.

  • To style, simply use your fingertips or wig brush/comb for your desired style.

  • Do not use any heat tools, such as curling irons, flat irons or blow dryers, to style your synthetic fiber wig or topper, unless it specifically states that the fibers are heat friendly synthetic or human hair.

  • Consider using Revive by Rene of Paris to remove frizz and refresh curls.

TIPS

  • Be cautious when standing near a heat source (i.e. open oven, heater, etc.) Excessive heat can damage the synthetic fiber of your wig or topper.

  • We recommend using a detangling spray and a wide tooth comb to detangle your synthetic wig. This is especially important with the mid-length to long length wigs.

Nice, but not for me

"I purchased Ensley by Rene of Paris - Creamy Dolce | Medium brown roots with platinum blond top and honey blonde mix underneath. This was my first time getting a wig so I didn't know what to expect. It was definitely thick, much thicker than my very thin biological hair. The front pieces were falling in my face a lot. I like the blonde color with the dark roots, but I felt like it wasn't quite for me."

The best all around piece I own

"I love this girl, she is absolutely stunning and I have received the most compliments on how great my ""hair"" looks when I wear her than any of my other wigs. I now own 4 of her and plan to buy more, just in case ROP decides to discontinue her."

A winner

"This wig is a beautiful style and the shadowed custard color is the best blonde I have found among American sellers. The cap is a bit larger than most average sized wigs but that is not a problem. It’s a hidden treasure at a reasonable price. ❤️❤️"

LOTS of beautiful hair- Silver Frost

"This is a very long, full wig with lots of lovely layers. I bought it with the plan to turn it into a topper so I wanted way more hair than I actually need. I have the Silver Frost color. PROS: The hair fibers are soft and not too shiny, very natural looking. The wave is absolutely beautiful. It has lots of light shades of gray, very pretty colors. The cap is light, stretchy and seems like it would be comfortable. There is very little permatease which is great for me since I don't care for it. I was able to get it on a Flash Sale so it was a great price. Shipping was lightening fast! CONS: The bangs are white and are white for about 3 inches back. While I want face framing white it is a bit much for me. it has a left side part, as many do. I prefer a full mono for free parting. I also part on the right but it's not a deal breaker. I am letting my hair go from dyed medium brown to gray. It will be a long transition and I'm just now looking for helper hair. I'll be 60 soon and have female patterned baldness so I don't wear toppers or wigs for fun, they are a must for me. I know my hair will be white eventually so I'm on the look out for lighter gray wigs/toppers with a variety of gray shades (not salt and pepper) and I'm having a really hard time finding any I like. The toppers don't seem to have enough hair or I don't like the colors so I'm trying some wigs. I watched a bunch of videos about how easy it is to turn a wig into a topper and found this one which I thought would be a good choice. I cut just the last bottom weft which just holds the nape of the wig off and I don't know if I did something wrong but the lower two hair weft side stitches came unattached (hard to describe). Anyway. . . I know this is an unusual situation and not the wigs fault but just thought I'd warn anyone thinking of doing the same. The videos make it look so simple and no mention of this possibility. I'm going to have to play with it and see what I can do. Even with some of the length and wefts removed, I think I may still need to trim and thin it to see if it will eventually work for me. If you want something very dramatic and sexy just at it is, this is the wig!"
