Synthetic Hair Care

We Recommend Washing Your Alternative Hair Every 6-8 Wears

CLEANSE & CONDITION

  • Before washing your wig or hairpiece, gently remove any tangles using your Wide Tooth Comb
  • Wet hair completely using cool running water, allowing the water to flow in the direction of the fibers
  • Do not submerge or soak your wig or topper
  • Gently lather the hair with a small amount of shampoo specifically formulated for synthetic hair, making sure the hair is traveling in the same direction
  • DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling
  • Rinse thoroughly under cool running water until water runs clear
  • Wrap wig or hairpiece in a towel and gently pat dry
  • Spray fibers with a conditioning spray (3-5 pumps) keeping away from base of wig or hairpiece
  • Please follow instructions for use depending on products used
  • Gently detangle hair using your Wide Tooth Comb

DRY & STYLE

  • Allow wig or hairpiece to air dry naturally by placing on a plastic or wire wig stand
  • DO NOT blow dry synthetic hair
  • For mid-length to long length styles, apply a detangling spray, (3-5 pumps) focusing on bottom half of wig or hairpiece.
  • Gently comb through using your Wide Tooth Comb
  • We recommend using your fingertips or wig comb for your desired style
  • Consider additional products to add texture and definition, using a small amount and applying using your fingertips
  • Do NOT use heat to style synthetic fiber (curling irons, flat irons or blow dryers)

TIPS

  • Be cautious when standing near a heat source (i.e., open oven, heater, etc.)
  • Excessive heat can damage the fiber
  • We recommend using a detangling spray with a wide tooth comb to detangle your piece after each wear

First Day with it on

"I like the light density and texture. The lace would have been perfect if it had a tiny drop more like Raquel Welch wigs or Jon Renau. Color med brown with highlights (cappuccino) was very nice. Drawback to this wig would be you have to train it off your face and maybe a little permartease would complete it. I’ll probably trim the layers just a little as I’m in my 60’s and I feel some of the longer bangs draw my face down. It’s a very nice wig but not sure yet if I would get it again."

"I'm always reluctant to try a new brand and style, but I absolutely love everything about Belinda by Envy. The density is perfect for me and the lacefront is very nicely done. Belinda has a very realistic hairline and the rooted color is gorgeous! Ellen Wille is usually my go to due to the petite average size but this average size girl fits is very close. This one is less expensive too!!"

Belinda a maybe buy again

"I was hesitant to make this purchase as I am 62 and felt it was too young. I am glad I did as it is very pretty. Envy makes a nice lace not as good as Raquel Welch but very good. The density is a nice medium and the cut is beautiful. The cap is perfect average with maybe a little extra room. I had to train this style to stay off my face and I still have a bit of a problem but it doesn’t change the way it looks. I’m overall happy with this wig."

Love Belinda

"I love everything about this wig. I bought it in the new colors Espresso, Macchiato and Saffron Spice. Envy did a perfect job on these rooted shades. They are so natural and the roots are not too dark or too drastic, they are so well blended. The wig is very comfortable and the density is very light and perfect for pony tails. It's a casual every day look for me. I wish Envy had a sister wig with some beach waves or spiral curls but you can't have it all. . . I am currently using Reeves for a sister wig."

Doesn’t really stay on, part isn’t great

"It’s a pretty wig, but it doesn’t have much in the way of staying on and the part needs a lot of work to make it look realistic. I’m new to wigs, seen a ton of videos and honestly, I’m not patient or skilled enough to style like I think it needs. Sadly, this isn’t one of those out of box scenarios. I have the equivalent topper and love it, but the wig is a disappointment."

Blown away!

"I’ve been wearing JR Zara Lite for a few months as my workhorse, ride or die. She’s getting tired though. . So I ordered Belinda after a few glasses of wine and a feisty pep talk from a strong independent woman named Me. Then I waited… OMG YOU GUYS!!!! She’s fabulous! Impeccable lace front that I actually have enough confidence TO WEAR OFF MY FACE, silky fibers, minimal tangles, normal shedding. The layers are so flattering and the color (chocolate cherry) is so realistically highlighted and dimensional!! I wear Belinda much more than Zara now and the cap change hasn’t irritated my head in any way (I was scared of that after 12+hr shifts) I’m reordering this week in a shade for summer!"
