Synthetic Hair Care

We Recommend Washing Your Alternative Hair Every 6-8 Wears

CLEANSE & CONDITION

  • Before washing your wig or hairpiece, gently remove any tangles using your Wide Tooth Comb
  • Wet hair completely using cool running water, allowing the water to flow in the direction of the fibers
  • Do not submerge or soak your wig or topper
  • Gently lather the hair with a small amount of shampoo specifically formulated for synthetic hair, making sure the hair is traveling in the same direction
  • DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling
  • Rinse thoroughly under cool running water until water runs clear
  • Wrap wig or hairpiece in a towel and gently pat dry
  • Spray fibers with a conditioning spray (3-5 pumps) keeping away from base of wig or hairpiece
  • Please follow instructions for use depending on products used
  • Gently detangle hair using your Wide Tooth Comb

DRY & STYLE

  • Allow wig or hairpiece to air dry naturally by placing on a plastic or wire wig stand
  • DO NOT blow dry synthetic hair
  • For mid-length to long length styles, apply a detangling spray, (3-5 pumps) focusing on bottom half of wig or hairpiece.
  • Gently comb through using your Wide Tooth Comb
  • We recommend using your fingertips or wig comb for your desired style
  • Consider additional products to add texture and definition, using a small amount and applying using your fingertips
  • Do NOT use heat to style synthetic fiber (curling irons, flat irons or blow dryers)

TIPS

  • Be cautious when standing near a heat source (i.e., open oven, heater, etc.)
  • Excessive heat can damage the fiber
  • We recommend using a detangling spray with a wide tooth comb to detangle your piece after each wear

More than I expected!

"I just received Riley in shade 8/27/33H and this piece is gorgeous. This color is natural and believable, the fibers are so soft and the density is perfect. (I would say medium density). I have been looking for a relaxed beach wave that looks good on me for a LONG time. The waves have just the right amount curl without being a tight wave. I was able to cut a bang into her and I'm so pleased as it lays flat the bangs should. Can't wait to wear her out. I just ordered another Riley as my backup. The cap fits well and is very comfortable. I really like the lace front only at the hairline because I personally find more than that too in warmer weather. Thanks for a beautiful piece."

OK but not great

"Riley is definitely better than its cousin, Showgirl. I don't know why, but it seems to always come in better shape. That said, Riley is not the greatest but serviceable. Comes out of the box pretty good, at least in all my purchases. However, it wears out VERY quickly. Detangling the back stretches it quickly, and within 10-15 wears it starts looking like a totally different piece. The fibers don't seem to snap back to their original wave no matter what you do. Then it gets long and thus gets even more tangled. Eventually it looks like a mess. If you can get it on sale, it's right in there with a lot of other styles. You'll never get the wear out of this the sellers or manufacturers say you will, but at a sale price I'd say it's OK. That said, purchasing it on sale may mean you spend weeks waiting for it to ship as I have found out."

Beautiful, but way too shiny.

"It's so beautiful. Light and airy, fits well, very comfy. I will buy another in a different color as soon as I can afford it. Really nice, especially for the price. Only drawback is that it is so shiny! Way more than any good wig I've purchased. I soaked it in fabric softener as I always do to reduce that fake hair shine, but is still too shiny. People can tell it's a wig. I look forward to it loosing some of that shine."
