Care Instructions

We recommend washing your wig every 8-10 wears.

 CLEANSING & CONDITIONING YOUR WIG

  • Before washing your wig or topper, gently remove any tangles with your wide tooth comb.

  • Hold wig or topper under cool running water, allowing the water to run in the direction of the fibers. You may also fill a basin of luke-warm water for washing. Then, gently lather the hair with a capful of Rene of Paris Shampoo or another shampoo specifically designed for synthetic hair, while making sure that the hair is traveling in the same direction. Do not rub hair as this may cause tangling.

  • Add Rene of Paris Conditioner or another conditioner that is specifically formulated for synthetic hair to the ends of the fibers. Keep the conditioner away from the base of the wig or topper.

  • Rinse wig or topper thoroughly in cool water until the water runs clear.

  • Wrap wig or hair piece in a towel and gently pat dry.

DRYING & STYLING YOUR WIG

  • Allow your wig or topper to air dry naturally by placing it on a plastic or wire wig stand. Do not blow dry your synthetic wig.

  • To style, simply use your fingertips or wig brush/comb for your desired style.

  • Do not use any heat tools, such as curling irons, flat irons or blow dryers, to style your synthetic fiber wig or topper, unless it specifically states that the fibers are heat friendly synthetic or human hair.

  • Consider using Revive by Rene of Paris to remove frizz and refresh curls.

TIPS

  • Be cautious when standing near a heat source (i.e. open oven, heater, etc.) Excessive heat can damage the synthetic fiber of your wig or topper.

  • We recommend using a detangling spray and a wide tooth comb to detangle your synthetic wig. This is especially important with the mid-length to long length wigs.

Awesome Wig Studio 1 and Noriko's Ivy!

"I have been a wig wearer for almost 49 years, so of course have had many styles, lengths, and colors. Now just having turned 80, there are only a few styles that work for me. Ivy is one. This is the seventh Ivy in my collection, but I have never ordered her from Wig Studio 1 before. This Ivy is the best one ever. Each of the others had bangs that stuck out, and pieces that were completely untamable. A few I ordered should have been returned, but after putting them on and attempting to work with them, that was no longer an option. This Ivy was perfect from the start. She's beautiful. Thank you Wig Studio 1 for an Ivy I can wear without doing major surgery on her. And, shipping was quick, the packaging excellent."

"I bought this piece on sale and unfortunately had to return as the ear fringe was 2 different lengths. Also it appeared to me that the wig had either been thinned or was missing hair at crown. Waiting on status of my return. The wig was definitely a return. I received it with no netting and the wig was secure to the box itself with Bobby pins. The color is a soft highlighted light brown and I would definitely order that shade again. I think the model photos are a good representation of the wig straight out of the box."
