Synthetic fiber can tangle or frizz over time, especially at the nape and on mid-length and long styles, where hair rubs against collars, scarves and car seats. To keep it smooth:
Regular synthetic fiber is sensitive to heat. Be cautious near open ovens, grills, heaters, dishwashers and steam, and when lighting candles or fireplaces. A sudden blast of heat can frizz or melt the fiber in seconds, and the damage can't be reversed.
Signs it's time for a new wig include frizz at the ends that won't comb out, a dry or dull texture, thinning at the nape or a stretched cap. Rotating between two wigs helps each one last longer.

It's best not to. Sleeping in a wig causes friction and tangling, and shower heat and steam can damage the fiber. Remove your wig and place it on a stand overnight.
Frizz is usually caused by friction against clothing or by exposure to heat. Detangle daily, reduce friction at the nape and keep the wig away from heat sources. Regular synthetic frizz can't be smoothed with heat, so prevention is key.

"This is my first Monica and I had to wait three months to receive her as I ordered the “Caramel Kiss” color, which is extremely popular and sells out quickly. The lace front on my Monica is the best I’ve ever seen, seriously. The color around the face is a little lighter, making the knots impeccable and realistic. But what amazes me is that this is the only wig I’ve ever purchased that I didn’t need to pluck the part. It’s perfect. All of that being said, the length is a little longer than the published measurements, the fibers are so shiny that I most definitely need to tone it down with dry shampoo, and the cap runs on the larger size of average-to-large and I have it cinched in as far as it can go. Nevertheless, the lace is soft and not scratchy, and the cap itself is comfortable for my buzzed-cut head. The ear tabs come out and down far enough to provide adequate coverage. She washes well, dries very quickly, and is a true shake and go style. The flipping in the back for my Monica actually starts on the sides and there are times I will catch a glimpse of the wig in a reflection and it reminds me of “Linda,” the mother in “Bob’s Burgers,” so I’m working on training the sides to be turned under like a bob cut before it flips up in the back. The back of the wig has greats layers and is very fun. All-in-all, I’d recommend Monica and if I get another one, I’d go with a different color."
