Pre-Order & Backorder Policy
At Wig Studio 1, we’re excited to give you the opportunity to reserve select new and upcoming wig styles before they become available for immediate shipment. Our flexible pre-order options make it easy to secure the style and color you want while choosing the payment option that works best for you. This page also explains what happens if an item you order is backordered.
Flexible Pre-Order Payment Options
When placing a wig pre-order with Wig Studio 1, you may choose to:
- Pay in full at the time your pre-order is placed, or
- Pay just 20% down to secure your pre-order, with the remaining balance charged when your order is fulfilled.
Choosing the 20% deposit option allows you to reserve your wig without paying the full purchase price upfront.
When Will I Be Charged the Remaining Balance?
If you choose to place your pre-order with a 20% deposit, the credit card used to place the original pre-order will be charged for the remaining balance when your order is fulfilled and preparing to ship.
Before the remaining balance is charged, you will receive a reminder notification letting you know that your pre-order will be shipping soon and that the credit card used for your pre-order will be charged for the outstanding balance upon fulfillment.
Please make sure your payment information remains current while your pre-order is pending to help prevent delays in processing and shipping your order.
Can I Cancel a Pre-Order or Backorder?
Yes. You can change or cancel a pre-order or backorder at any time until the manufacturer releases your order to their warehouse for shipping. If your plans change, simply contact us at support@wigstudio1.com for help.
Once an order has been released, it is already being processed and can no longer be canceled. There can be a short window between release and when your tracking number is available, so your order may be past the point of cancellation even if you haven't received tracking yet. If that happens, you're welcome to return your item once it arrives under our return policy. See our Order Changes & Cancellation Policy for details.
When Will My Pre-Order Ship?
Pre-order items are products that are not yet available for immediate shipment. Any estimated availability or shipping timeframe provided on the product page is an estimate and may be subject to change based on manufacturer availability, production schedules, shipping delays, or other circumstances outside of Wig Studio 1’s control.
We'll email you an estimated shipping date within 2 to 3 business days of placing your order, and we'll notify you as soon as your pre-order is ready for fulfillment.
What Happens If an Item Is Backordered?
Occasionally an item becomes backordered when demand exceeds the manufacturer's available inventory. If an item you ordered is backordered, we'll email you with its estimated arrival date within 2 to 3 business days, and you can choose to:
- Switch to a different item or color that is available for immediate shipping,
- Stay on our priority wait list and receive your item as soon as it becomes available (your original payment method will be charged), or
- Cancel your order and receive a refund to your original form of payment.
Backordered items ship as soon as they become available, using the shipping method you selected at checkout.
International Orders with Multiple Items
For international orders containing multiple products, we reserve the right to ship your order once all items are available rather than sending partial shipments.
